Immigration Research

At Foundation for an Open America, we believe in constant learning. In the course of running our programs, we see questions and issues appear that are beyond the programs’ scope. The Foundation fosters research interest around these questions by underwriting papers and conferences at universities and think tanks.
Our current research projects include:
• Sponsorship with Center for Global Development of a conference on immigrant remittances
• Sponsorship with Harvard Kennedy School of Government of a “Best Ideas” conference including papers on immigrant labor
• Creation of an annual papers series at the University of Massachusetts Mauricio Gaston Institute
