Our Foundation invests in three causes: immigrant education; advocacy and legal rights; and immigration research. While all three causes have our continued support, each year we will select a primary cause to be the focus of the majority of our fundraising efforts. Below is the anticipated roll out schedule for our three main funds:

Jan. 2010: Immigrant Family Education Fund
Jan. 2011: Advocacy & Legal Rights Protection Fund
Jan. 2012: Research Fund

The Immigrant Family Education Fund (IFEF) is an educational savings program for high school students. We realize that immigrants are good savers, as evidenced by remittances sent to their families outside the US. Our IFEF requires immigrants to create an educational savings account that is matched 1:1 while they actively participate in financial literacy workshops. By the end of the program each student should have about $4,000 saved, which is the average unmet financial need for community and public four-year colleges.
